So there's a new Foz in my fleet! A white MY06 lux pack auto! This vehicle was originally purchased brand spankers by my Mum and Dad and pretty much ever since that point I've been buttering them up to pass the reigns over to me when the time came. In light of this, the vast majority of mod purchases I made for the Green Demon were with the full intention of moving them to this XT when I took ownership. As such, I've been throwing a few mods at the car in the last couple of weeks (prior to the official handover date of Saturday just passed - 21st March) so it looks like it has come together quite quickly, when in actual fact it's been a rather methodical and slowly, slowly approach.

Current mods (last updated 21/09/09):

* ECU reflash from Pulse Racing
* IHI VF36
* Subaru OEM twin scroll headers (from JDM MY08 WRX STi)
* Subaru OEM twin scroll compatible dump pipe (from a MY04? WRX STi Spec-C RA)
* Apexi AVC-R boost controller
* Process West TMIC
* Process West CAI with Apexi Power Intake "dry" filter
* Walbro GSS342 Fuel Pump
* MRT diff back muffler
* Stock XT struts with rear self-leveling functionality disabled and stock inserts removed. Koni Sports adjustable strut inserts now in place with Whiteline (Foz specific) Control springs. If anyone wants to get a better-than-Tein SuperWagon spring/strut combo, this is what you're after. However, as proved by Capo, it may be a little difficult to get hold of these days.
* 22mm adjustable rear Whiteline swaybar
* PMD strengthening kit
* Whiteline front strut brace
* Whiteline rear strut brace
* Brembo 4/2 pot calipers with Brembo OEM rear caliper adapter bracket
* Brembo rotors - rears with Brembo handbrake adapter drum (this negates the need to modify handbrake shoes)
* Goodridge braided brake lines front and rear
* EBC Red stuff brake pads front and rear
* JDM SG Forester STi wheels (18x7.5 +48)
* Pirelli P-Zero Rosso 225/45/R18 95W tyres
* 02 STi bonnet scoop
* SG STi tail lights
* OEM Factory lip/body kit from Subaru Australia (front lip, skirts, rear spats, rear wing, fog light covers/surrounds and sports grill).

I'm going in a little different direction to the well trodden VF34 (or VF34 P20) path with this car. The autos are a very different beast to manuals and as such I'm really wanting to do as much as possible to maintain the incredible throttle response the car now has with the ECU tune Paul has performed. In light of this, I'm going to be installing a twin scroll VF36, which from all reports will maintain near-TD04 response but with a whole bunch more power everywhere on the curve.

Parts waiting to go on:
* Autospeed/Labtronics intelligent intercooler water spray controller
* Tein SuperWagons with EDFC
* Front mount oil cooler
* Defi BF Gauges - oil temp, oil pres, and water temp in Zerosports gauge housing
* Defi Racer Gauges - boost and trans fluid temp (more than likely mounted to steering column - will possibly use a Perrin mount to achieve this)

I'll also be looking to install a little bit of audio gear in here, but nothing over the top. Really looking forward to mounting a sub in the stock position and keeping the stock headunit for as long as possible (really want to maintain a clean interior look).

Many thanks go to my parents for doing such a great job at running the car in for me! :lol: :thumbs: As well as pete_mac, PMD, BJM, be_oh_be and LochGT for all their assistance and ear bending goodness!

Here's some pics stolen from XT666 'til I get my own up (but these are bloody alright if you ask me - top pics mate! :thumbs: ):

Nice one (very nice actually), Pete...I was wondering where all those bits off the GD went.....though I was used to seeing that car with black wheels, the STi's are all class.

It'll be interesting to see the results with the VF36.....not common at all on a 2.5L.

Looks fantastic!

How did you get your hands on these:
* Subaru OEM twin scroll headers (from JDM MY08 WRX STi)
* Subaru OEM twin scroll compatible dump pipe (from a MY04? WRX STi Spec-C RA)
?

There could be only one way the Green Demon would be passed up, and obviously this is it. Such a nice ride Pete. Looked awesome in my rear view mirrors, especially when you had the lights on. White is such a classy colour!

Here's hoping that you can do some convincing and stay a two foz family eh? :mrgreen:

You already know my thoughts on this beasty Mr Magus! Pure class all the way. A worthy successor to the Demono el Greeno! :)
